JDSU T-BERD 6000 OTDR with 8126 LR Module – Powers On – Bad Battery

Used JDSU T-BERD 6000 compact optical test platform with an 8126 LR singlemode OTDR module installed. Unit powers on from AC, touchscreen works, and OTDR traces can be taken. The internal battery is bad and needs to be replaced. Plan on running it from the AC adapter until a new battery is installed.

What you get

• 1 x JDSU T-BERD 6000 mainframe
• 1 x 8126 LR OTDR module installed
• Side handle / strap as shown

Will come with AC adapter. This instrument will NOT include: case, launch cable, extra connectors, power meter, VFL, or talkset. Photos are of the actual unit.

Condition Used field instrument. Powers on and boots to the home screen. Touchscreen is detected and working. Sample OTDR trace shown on screen. Expected wear:

• Scratches and scuffs on the gray bumpers and housing
• Dust and handling marks
• Battery will not hold a charge and must be replaced

About the OTDR module 8126 LR is a long-range singlemode OTDR module typically used at 1310 nm and 1550 nm. Typical published specs for this family:

• Singlemode fiber
• Long-range testing for access, metro, and long-haul work
• Event dead zone around 0.8 m
• Dynamic range in the low-40 dB class
• Distance range up to hundreds of kilometers depending on settings

Side panel is labeled LR OTDR with one optical port. Confirm connector type from the photos before you bid if you need a specific APC or UPC adapter.
